DMCA / Copyright Policy

Last updated: June 24, 2026

V2M ("we", "us") respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of v2m.app (the "Service") to do the same. This policy describes how we respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement under the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512 (DMCA), the Indian Copyright Act, 1957 (as amended), and Rule 3(1)(d) and Rule 3(2) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.

1. We do not host user-uploaded content

V2M processes videos entirely inside your browser using WebAssembly. We never upload, receive, store, transmit, cache, or otherwise have access to any user video, audio, image, or output file. There is therefore no user-generated content on our servers that can be "taken down".

2. Your responsibility as a user

You must not use the Service to convert, modify, distribute, or otherwise deal with content for which you do not hold the necessary rights or licences. Misuse may attract civil and criminal liability under applicable law, including under §§ 51, 63, and 65A of the Indian Copyright Act, 1957 (and equivalents elsewhere). You — not V2M — are solely responsible for your use of the Service.

3. Reporting infringement of our own website content

If you believe content published by us on v2m.app (e.g. text, logo, design, screenshots, code samples) infringes your copyright, please send a written notice in English to support.minzio@gmail.com. To be effective under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), the notice must include:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorised to act on their behalf.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or a representative list).
  3. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, with sufficient detail (e.g. the full URL on v2m.app) to allow us to locate it.
  4. Your contact information — full name, postal address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on its behalf.

For complaints under the Indian Copyright Act, please additionally identify the work under §§ 13 / 14 of the Act and the specific right alleged to be infringed.

4. Action we will take

On receipt of a valid notice we will, in accordance with Rule 3(2)(b) of the IT Rules, 2021, acknowledge the complaint within 24 hours and act on it within 15 days. Information that constitutes a contravention of Rule 3(1)(b)(ii) (relating to the impersonation of another person) shall, on receipt of a complaint, be removed within 24 hours.

5. Counter-notice

If you believe content of yours was removed in error or as a result of misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to support.minzio@gmail.com containing:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material removed and its location before removal.
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts at Lohardaga, India (and, for US-based complainants, the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or, if outside the US, any judicial district in which V2M may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the complainant.

6. Misrepresentations

Under § 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages. Please be sure you are the rights-holder (or authorised to act on their behalf) before sending a notice.

7. Repeat infringers

We will, in appropriate circumstances and in our sole discretion, restrict or terminate access to the Service for users who are repeat infringers.

8. Designated agent / Grievance Officer

The following officer serves as both our DMCA designated agent and our Grievance Officer under the IT Act, 2000 and the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021:
