Built for people who care about their files.
A serious tool with a simple promise: nothing leaves your device, and nothing gets in your way.
Privacy first
All processing happens locally in your browser. Your videos never touch a server — we couldn't see them if we tried.
No sign-in
Open the site and start converting. No passwords, no tracking pixels, no telemetry of any kind.
Powered by your device
Speed depends on your hardware — the faster your machine, the faster the conversion. No queues, no throttling.
Many formats
MP4, WebM, MKV, MOV, AVI, GIF, MP3 — with H.264, VP9, MPEG-4, AAC, Opus and more.
Edit while you convert
Rotate, flip, reverse, scale, and color-grade with brightness, contrast, saturation and gamma.
Target a file size
Aim for a specific size and v2m will pick a sensible bitrate and resolution to match.
Three steps. No friction.
Drop your file
Pick any video file from your device. Nothing uploads.
Choose settings
Format, codec, resolution, bitrate, transforms, color.
Convert & download
Hit start. Your converted file is ready on your machine.
Everything common, nothing weird.
Only combinations that reliably work in the browser are exposed — so every option you pick actually converts.
Good questions.
Do my files get uploaded anywhere?+
No. v2m runs FFmpeg directly in your browser via WebAssembly. Your files never leave your device.
How long does a 1-minute video take?+
Anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes depending on your device, source resolution, and chosen codec. Modern laptops are typically fast.
Is there a file-size limit?+
Limits depend on your browser and available RAM (often ~2 GB). Smaller files are smoother.
Why no sign-in?+
Because you don't need an account to convert a video. v2m is fully client-side.
